Writing for the Rest of the World
An evening workshop on writing impactful ethnography for a popular audience. Participants will discuss sharing their research outside of academia, covering strategy, style, publishing venues, and working with the press. Through exercises, participants will think through sharing their own research, and come away with practical steps toward publishing for a popular audience, as well as an understanding of its specific risks and rewards. The workshop will include of a short presentation, followed by a Q&A, and a reading and writing exercise.
